Project:

10th Malaga Spanish Film Festival Presentation

Approach:

Corporactiva presented a proposal to Dewar's White Label to sponsor both the Fiesta de la Luz, an event/concert presenting the image of the Malaga Spanish Film Festival, and the record Un rayo de luz (A Ray of Light) - a project conceived by Librería Ocho y Medio and the AISGE Foundation. The presence of a great number of stars from the worlds of cinema and culture, such as Ana Belén, Maria Barranco, Assumpta Serna, Agustín Almodóvar... ensured extensive media coverage both in the press and on television.

Proposal:

The Festival of Light, which took place at the Arola restaurant in Madrid on 20 December, on the eve of the winter solstice, was a homage to light. Each of those present was given the opportunity to write a wish for 2007 and to light a candle in the Garden of Wishes alongside those of all the other guests. Sergi Arola prepared a special cocktail for the event with White Label. Following the dinner was a concert to present Un rayo de luz, with actors and actresses such as Pilar Bardem, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo and Javier Gurruchaga taking to the stage to sing. Later, Victor Ullate's prima ballerina Ana Noya performed a dance to a live performance of Bach's cello suite no. 1 before the event was rounded off by a disco. Throughout the whole party, scenes from classic Spanish films were shown and, on leaving, everyone was presented with a candle of a fellow guest with their wish for 2007.
